Drake may have gone too far by inserting 2Pac into his lyrical war with Kendrick Lamar.
The Toronto native recently tried to bait KDot into responding to him by releasing his second diss track "Taylor Made (Freestyle)." The song has AI-generated verses from 'Pac and Snoop Dogg. The late artist's brother Mopreme Shakur expressed his gripe about the entire situation. Shakur doesn't have any issues with any of the artists involved. His main problem is Drizzy used his brother's vocals were used as ammo in a rap battle that has nothing to do with him.
Shakur believes the battle should remain 1-on-1. While he doesn't take issue with 'Pac serving as inspiration, Mopreme emphasizes that invoking his late brother's name and likeness in a rap battle is a "nuclear option." He understands how much 'Pac influence Kendrick throughout the course of his career, and knows his brother's word could draw a reaction from the "Silent Hill" MC. At the end of the day, Shakur just wants everyone involved to remain competitive without resorting to violence.
Prior to "Taylor Made," Drake had been taunting the Compton native in an attempt to get him to drop a response on wax. Despite all the shots he fired on Instagram Stories and the second diss track, KDot has yet to respond. Lamar has been working on another diss track ahead of his upcoming album, which is rumored to arrive in May.
